But for the handful of gentlemen at Casa Valentina, sipping cocktails while sporting beehives and brassieres is more their style. Set in the early '60s, the story follows a group of heterosexual men who congregate at a Catskills resort far from their families to secretly behave and dress like women. Based on real events, the play offers a glimpse into the lives of a group of "self-made women."
