It's the '60s and ex-pop singer Angela Andrews is trapped in a corrosive marriage with her film producer husband. In an attempt to escape and find happiness with her young lover, Angela murders her husband. It's tragic; it's kitschy; it's Busch at his best. New Conservatory Theatre Center's production of the show that the Los Angeles Times calls "very nearly illegally entertaining" stars J. Conrad Frank, creator of the San Francisco drag cabaret sensation Katya Smirnoff-Skyy, as the doomed Mommie of the title.
