The Barn Theater is located at the back of the Marin Arts and Garden Center, a pleasant half-block walk through the gardens and up a short set of steps just past the fountain. Signs will guide your way. The theater is housed in an old barn which was converted to a theater space in the 1940s. Created in 1930 to provide escape from the hardships of the Depression, the Ross Players moved into the Barn upon its conversions from their former location at the Episcopal Church.
