Wait Until Dark
Victoria Theatre
2961 16th Street San Francisco
Greenwich artist Susy finds herself harassed by a band of criminals who believe she has their drugs in this modern adaptation of Frederick Knott's '60s thriller. But although the young newlywed has recently lost her vision, she's no helpless victim. Utilizing her ingenuity and remaining senses, she's able to level the playing field, devising a pulse-pounding game of cat-and-mouse that unfolds in the dark of night. Originally produced on Broadway in 1966 and made into the classic Audrey Hepburn film a year later, Wait Until Dark is an electrifying story by the playwright behind Dial M for Murder.
